SAVE THE DATE! DALLAS’ FIFTH ANNUAL JAZZ AGE SUNDAY SOCIAL – MARCH 18, 2018.
The largest vintage-inspired event in Dallas, Texas! The Art Deco Society of Dallas in partnership with Dallas Heritage Village proudly presents the Fourth Annual Jazz Age Sunday Social.
March 18, 2018 – 12:00 – 5:00 pm.
Enjoy a party unlike any other – a true vintage-inspired event done right, featuring traditional jazz, dancing, antique automobiles, ‘best dressed’ contest, ice cream, food, photo booth, vendors, classic games such as croquet, horseshoes, and badminton, and more. We encourage everyone to don their finest whites and 1920s day dress. Vintage costume is encouraged, but not mandatory.
Dance to the music of The Singapore Slingers and The Matt Tolentino Band. Elaine Hewlett of the Rhythm Room will be teaching some great dance steps from the 1920s to get you up to speed so you’ll be ready when the bands kick off! As well, Amelia Foxtrot will be spinning original 78 rpm records and period phonographs.
WHAT TO BRING?
Pack a picnic with your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy yourself on the grounds. Dust off your dancing shoes, as we’ll have a real wood dance floor out on the lawn. In true prohibition style, alcohol is prohibited on the grounds.
